WHIP is pure, gentle, and has amazing skin-soothing properties. Perfectly safe for all ages including infants.
** Please note, this is an all natural product that has not been bleached, deodorised, hydrogenated or altered. As such, it may retain a slight tallow scent. Common Uses for Whipped Tallow Balm
See this article for what some of our customers have used our Whip Tallow Balms for.
Tallow is incredibly compatible with our natural skin biology and with the oils that our body naturally produces. You’ll notice the moment you spread the tallow on your skin that it goes to work straight away. You’ll feel the tallow melt into your skin, leaving a fully moisturised feel but without the greasiness in a matter of moments. A little goes a long way, so only use just enough!
Why tallow?
Tallow is naturally filled with goodies for your skin:
- Alpha linoleic and linoleic acids (omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids) – In almost a 1:1 ratio, these maintain the structure and barrier function of the skin. Very helpful anti-inflammatory and immune responses in skin.
- Vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K – All highly nourishing for skin. This combo of vitamins is only found all together in animal products.
- Stearic acid and oleic acid – Fatty acids found in the outer layer of the skin and in our natural sebum. They’re regenerative, softening, moisturising, and anti-inflammatory. Stearic acid helps to repair the skin and improve flexibility, while the oleic acid helps all of these beneficial nutrients penetrate deeply into the skin.
- CLA or Conjugated Linoleic Acid – Packed with powerful anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits.
- Palmitoleic acid – One of the basic building blocks of our skin that decreases as we age. It’s a very active antimicrobial on our skin.
- Palmitic acid – Improves smoothness of skin and helps with skin barrier function. Palmitic acid decreases as we age.
Storage & Shelf Life
Whip Tallow Balm will last for 6-12 months if stored in a cool dry place and free from contaminants.
Tallow melts at 37 degrees C so if you leave it in the car on a hot day it will melt and the oils may separate. If this happens, all is not lost. Simply bring your Whip back to room temperature and stir the ingredients back together. If your tallow balm has lost its fluffiness, you can whip it again with the hand beaters to get that famous Whip consistency.

This balm is so soft and silky! I use it for my toddler’s eczema and it gives her wonderful relief, providing much needed moisture without all the nasties that many commercial products contain. I feel so comfortable using this product knowing it’s all natural.
I highly recommend Whip!

I love how this balm feels when I rub it in to my hands and arms that have spent far too many years working in the sun. I feel like I’m nurturing them with kindness and I love that it’s an all natural product. The planet needs to keep moving back to basics and stop using the nasties found in many products today. Using this product means I’m being kind to my body as well as Mother Earth. It gets a tick from me.

I love this tallow. It’s beautiful and creamy, spreads easily and has a lovely scent 😊
Whenever I have an eczema flare up on my face I’ll put this on before bed. It soothes the itchiness and by morning my skin is clear!
The healing properties of this are incredible and I feel good knowing it’s 100% natural with absolutely no harsh chemicals.
Will definitely be buying more! ❤❤

I love this tallow balm. I developed a very dry section of flaky skin on my face and found that it had completely resolved within about 2 days after using Whip. It was silky smooth, and I also started using it as a whole facial moisturiser at times. My neighbour was so fascinated with the product and the results she purchased some for her adult son who has eczema on his face! I also used it on the top of my daughter’s feet where she has a skin irritation caused from eating a lot of gluten, and it resolved within a week or so.
I highly recommend using Whip for any skin conditions. Asti has worked absolute wonders to develop this product and although it was born from a desire to help her son’s skin, her love of all things natural and her desire to help others has seen this grow into a business product. Well done!

This is the facial moisturiser I’ve been searching for for ten years, without knowing it was grass fed tallow balm I was looking for! I added a few drops of lavender, frankincense and immortelle essential oils, plus some comfrey infused olive oil, and store it in the fridge, and it smells and feels divine! I use on around my eyes and on any dry patches on my face, and I know that I’m nourishing my skin. The product also comes beautifully wrapped. Thank you so much to Asti for her very generous customer service and a wonderful product.

I have been searching far and wide for a product that can actually hydrate my dry skin and finally I have found it! I was worried about the smell as I am very smell sensitive but its really quite mild. I use it on my face and have just purchased more so I can keep using it all over! I just love it.

My daughter uses this for her cystic acne. It’s been helping really well for her and now she won’t let me buy anything else. It literally lasts us 6 months a bottle. Amazing stuff
